IBAS — The Journey 2020–2025 and the Vision for 2026–2028

During a full-day internal workshop, the IBAS team had the opportunity to reflect on the company’s journey so far, analyze the results achieved during the period 2020–2025, and present the strategic vision for 2026–2028. The meeting served as an important moment to share experiences, better understand the progress achieved to date, and clearly outline the strategic direction of IBAS for the years ahead.

A Journey of Sustainable Growth and Innovation

Since its establishment in 2019, IBAS has developed steadily by building modern financial technology infrastructure. During the period 2020–2025, the company moved from the phase of building its technological platform and securing regulatory licenses to a stage of consolidation and sustainable growth.

Some of the most important milestones of this journey include:

2020 – Launch of platform operations and establishment of the first customer base.

2021 – Winner of the ICT Awards for Innovation, accompanied by significant growth in the number of users.

2022 – Launch of the first digital lending products and expansion of the license for investment advisory services.

2023 – Integration with SEPA, issuance of UK IBANs for citizens of Kosovo, and the launch of real-time transfers from across the European Economic Area.

2024 – Achievement of operational break-even, implementation of electronic signature and electronic seal, and expansion of commercial partnerships.

2025 – Launch of Mastercard Debit, development of the Payment Gateway for the Digital Wallet of Prishtina, and further advancement of the internal technological infrastructure.

These developments have led to strong financial performance, while the number of users has surpassed 50,000 customers, representing more than 5% of the population over the age of 18.

This progress confirms the potential of the IBAS model as an innovative digital financial institution that delivers fast, transparent, and accessible services for individuals, businesses, and the diaspora.

A Digital Financial HUB for Modern Financial Services

During the workshop, the IBAS team also reviewed the development of the company’s product portfolio, which today forms the foundation of its Financial HUB model.

The main services offered by IBAS include:

• Digital payments, including accounts with Kosovo IBANs, debit cards, and payment solutions for businesses;

• International transfers and remittances, particularly for the diaspora;

• Digital credit products for individuals and businesses;

• Investment advisory and investment planning for clients seeking to diversify their assets in global financial markets.

This integrated model allows clients to access a wide range of financial services through a single platform — a breadth of services that no other electronic money institution currently offers in the market.

The Strategic Plan for 2026–2028

In the second part of the workshop, the IBAS Business Plan for 2026–2028 was presented, outlining the company’s strategic direction for the coming years.

The key objectives for this period include:

• transforming IBAS into a fully developed Virtual Financial HUB;

• international expansion, starting with the United Kingdom market;

• integration of artificial intelligence into KYC processes, risk analysis, and customer support;

• increasing financial inclusion and improving the overall customer experience;

• strengthening governance and compliance with international regulatory standards;

• initiating the preparations for a future IPO.

According to the projections of the strategic plan, by 2028 IBAS aims to achieve:

• more than 300,000 registered users;

• at least 150,000 active users;

• more than 12,000 users of credit products;

• an ARPU exceeding €40.

From a financial perspective, significant growth in both revenue and profitability is projected, further strengthening the company’s business model.

A Shared Culture for Sustainable Growth

The workshop also served as an opportunity to strengthen the culture of collaboration within the IBAS team and to exchange perspectives on product development, process improvement, and new market opportunities.

The journey of IBAS so far has been the result of a combination of technological innovation, professional dedication, and a clear vision to build a modern financial institution that responds to the real needs of its clients.

With a clear strategy and a motivated team, IBAS continues to build the foundations for its next phase of growth and for its role as an important player in the digital financial services ecosystem.
